Was this in the plan????: Happy Days

I started my journey on this special needs rollercoaster nearly 16 years ago when my eldest son was born. At the time it was a magical mystery tour as he didn't actually get a formal diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome until he reached his teens. By that time we had 3 other children and our youngest child, Daisy, had thrown us headlong into a white knuckle ride of premature birth, a rare genetic disorder called Costello Syndrome and then nearly 4 years ago intestinal failure which now requires her to receive all nutrition directly into her bloodstream via a drip. This all wasn't quite in the rosy-glow plan I had when I first waddled along to antenatal classes. This blog is about how, 4 children later, with some very steep learning curves I am learning to survive and even to try and thrive.
